Meet
at 5:30 pm and don't forget your headlamp! Extra
snowshoes are available.
The
location of this week's run will be posted by 3 pm on Tuesday.
February 23rd
Meet at the new mountain bike trailhead on Ester Dome Road. The trailhead is on the left side of the road ~1.5 miles up Ester Dome Road.
The
training run will take place regardless of temperature.

Another new snowshoe event has just been added to the race calendar. The Alaska Snowshoe Sprint Championships will take place on Sunday, March 21st. This event is coinciding with the Open North American dog mushing race held downtown. This 1 mile snowshoe race will be on an out-and-back course on 2nd Avenue. The women will start at noon and the men 10 minutes later. Both races will occur in between the dog teams starting and finishing so all snowshoers must be off the course by 12:30. Check back for updated information.
